In the 1870 census taken on June 13, Asbury was living in Loudon Twp., Carroll Co., Ohio. Asbury was listed as a carpenter age 22 born in Ohio, his wife Elizabeth J. age 25 born in Ohio, their children listed were: May A. age 2 and Cynthia A. age 1 month, both were born in Ohio. In the 1900 census Asbury was living in Loudon Twp., Carroll Co., Ohio. He was listed as age 52 born September 1847 in Ohio, his wife Elizabeth age 55 born March 1845 in Ohio. It stated Asbury and Elizabeth were married for 34 years, and had 7 children, but only 5 were still living at that time. His obituary in the Free Press Standard, Carrollton, Ohio, Thursday, June 18, 1914. Asbury Wrikeman, a life-long resident of Loudon Township, died Tuesday of last week in the home of his son William L. Wrikeman, at Cleveland, and was buried Thursday at Kilgore. He was born 72 years ago. Mr. Wrikeman enlisted January 21, 1864, in Co. C, 43rd Ohio Volunteer Infantry, and was Mustered out with his company July 13, 1865. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church, and for 35 years engaged in the Mercantile business at Kilgore. He recently disposed of his business to Harry Brandt. He was married to Elizabeth Simmons, who survives along with the following children; David L., William L, and Anna, of Cleveland; Mesdames Maggie Naragon and Nellie Naragon, of Hanover. A brother, John L. Wrikeman of Kilgore, and a sister, Mrs. Adaline Shawver, of Perry Township, survive.
