Thomas, 84, retired carpenter and carriage maker, died Friday at his home in Harlem Springs after a short illness. Born in Carroll County, he was a member of Methodist Church. He lived in Cleveland for about 25 years where he worked at his trade as a wagon and carriage maker. Mr. Thomas returned to Harlem Springs in 1925 where they have since made their home. Surviving are his widow, Elizabeth; two sons, Frank of the home and James of Amsterdam; three daughters, Mrs. Anna McGuire of Harlem Springs, Mrs. Annie Armstrong of Cleveland and Mrs. Bessie Jones of Akron; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Vincent of Carrollton and Sheridan of Alliance, and a sister, Mrs. John Hawke of Bergholz. The body was brought to the Blazer-Graham parlors at Carrollton, where services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. Rev. G. H. Birney of Amsterdam Methodist Church officiated with burial at Harlem Springs.
