The passing of our Cora has left us sorrowing, for in her we possessed one that was loyal and true. A happy combination of good cheer and sterling qualities, which made her a valued relative, friend and wife. Cora Teasley Anglin was born on the old Teasley homestead, five miles north of Glasco, October 1, 1885. It was here she spent her girlhood, enjoying the carefree life of a large pioneer family, always happy and interested in living. She died May 22, 1931 at Halstead, Kansas at the age of 45 years. It was early in life that she confessed her faith and was baptized. She joined the Methodist church at Glasco, later transferring her letter to the Methodist church at Pratt, at which place she was an untiring worker. For years she taught a young girls Sunday School class. During the years 1915-1917 she was connected with the Bell Telephone Co. at Pratt. She was united in marriage to Edward Anglin, Dec. 22, 1918 at Pratt, Kansas where she has since made her home. She was a faithful member of the Rebecca Lodge and was a Past Noble grand of that organization. Her passing is a heart ache to all of us. While we knew she was not in good health, we little realized the serious nature of her illness. We shall miss her smile, her loving generous disposition, and her efforts to promote the welfare of the town, and of her home.All will be greatly missed in the council of gatherings of those of us, who have been associated together and no one can know the sorrow and loneliness of her intimate friends and loved ones. Those of us who have passed the crest of our life time and are going down the slope, are comforted by the hope that somewhere, sometime, we shall be united. Words fail to express our heart felt affections and love for Cora. She leaves to mourn her passing, a most loving and devoted husband, two sisters, Mrs. I.N. Moore of Concordia and Mrs. Wm. Wells of Glasco. Four brothers, Henry, George, Thomas and Calvin Teasley, all of Glasco. Sixteen nieces and nephews together with many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the M.E. Church, conducted by Rev. Marshall. Burial was made in Glasco cemetery.
