Teasley, was born Oct. 23, 1871, near Ottawa, Kans. and passed away at the home of her aunt, Mrs. Fannie Duffy, Beloit, Kans., Nov. 30, 1946. She was the oldest of a family of eight children, all reared on the homestead five miles north of Glasco. Of this pioneer family, the father and mother and five brothers and sisters have preceded her in death. On Feb. 2, 1888, she was united in marriage to W.L. Wells, who preceded her in death on Apr. 3, 1932. To this union was born one son who died in infancy. Mrs. Wells became a member of the Glasco Methodist church in 1908, and had been a loyal worker up to the time of her illness. She belonged to the Ladies Aid, and was a charter member of the Epworth Sunday school class. She was also a member of the Rebekah Lodge. She leaves to mourn her passing, one sister, Mrs. Isaac Moore, of Concordia, Kans.; one brother, George Teasley, of Glasco, and many other relatives and a host of friends. She lived most of her life in and around this community, and made many friends, and we are now called upon to bid farewell to one who was a loyal and true worker for the better things of this life. Funeral services were held at the Glasco Methodist church Monday, December 2, 1946, at 2:00 p.m., conducted by the pastor, Rev. Moody. Stine-Griffith Mortuary was in charge. Singers were Mrs. O.L. Norton, Mrs. Moody, Mrs. Jordan and Mr. Slocum, accompanied by Mrs. Norton. Pallbearers were Dr. W.A. Adams, Geo. Chapin, Fred Harper, Clarence Bowersox, Earl V. Plush, and Pete Beck. Flower bearers were Mrs. Ruby Teasley and Mrs. Rosie Teasley.
