Glasco Sun, March 11, 1937, page 3: Thomas Wesley Teasley, third son of W.W. and Nancy Jane Teasley, was born at the Teasley homestead January 26, 1877, and departed this life at the old homestead March 7, 1937, aged 60 years 1 month and 12 days. He was united in marriage to Mabel Cory, February 20, 1898, in Colo Iowa, coming directly to Kansas and settled within a mile of the old home where they lived until his death. To this union were born four children, one girl and three boys -- Mrs. Roy G. Chapin, Santa Barbara, Calif.; Orville Teasley, Alhambra, Calif.; Elmer Teasley of the home; Howard Teasley, San Diego, Calif.; two grandchildren, Dorothy Lee Chapin and Tommy Teasley. At the old homestead where Tom died all the children were born except one. He and his family have lived there a long time. So he passed away in the home in which he was born. It meant much to this country to have such citizens as the parents of this family of boys and reared them in the hard times the old settlers experienced. The two brothers are survived by two sisters, Mrs. Emma Wells of Glasco and Mrs. I.N. Moore of Concordia and two brothers, George M. and Calvin C. of Glasco. The funeral service for the brothers was held at the Methodist Church, Tuesday at 2:30, March 9, conducted by Rev. C.D. Gambriell. Burial was made in the Glasco cemetery with N.G.
