Description	:	David was the son of Jacob & Mary (Hunt) Painter. Soon after their marriage they moved to their farm east of and near Salem, where they resided many years accumulating a respectable competence, raised a large family of children, then later retired to their pleasant residence in Salem, where they spent the remainder of their days.
