Wagner, 92, of Scribner died Monday June 2, 1997, at the Good Samaritan Center in Scribner. Dora Bang was born April 3, 1905, in rural Fremont. She attended District 23 school in rural Dodge County. She married Harold Wagner Aug. 27, 1924, in rural Fremont. The couple farmed in rural Hooper, near the airbase, from the time of their marriage until 1936, when they moved to a farm in rural Scribner. In 1956, they moved into town. She was a homemaker. She moved to the Good Samaritan Center in 1990. Her husband died Dec. 1, 1992. She was a member of United Lutheran Church in Scribner and Lutheran Church Women (LCW). She also was a member of the neighborhood Birthday Club and a sewing group at church. She also was a past member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Scribner. Survivors include two sons, Ralph (and wife, Janine) Wagner and Donald (and wife, Pat) Wagner, both of Scribner; a sister, Pearl Westphal of Hooper; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by three brothers and a grandson. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at United Lutheran Church in Scribner. The Rev. Don Wright will officiate. Visitation will be 3-9 p.m. Wednesday at Spear-Johnson Funeral Home in Scribner. Burial will be at Scribner Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the United Lutheran Church organ fund.
