Lizzie Andrews, daughter of William and Margaret Andrews, was born November 6, 1850, near Richmond, in Jefferson County. She was called in death April 30, 1923, at her home in Carrollton. She was second in a family of eight children, 4 sons and 4 daughters, four of whom survive, William Andrews of Canton, George and John Andrews of Carrollton and Mrs. George Rankin of Carrollton. On October 17, 1872, she united in marriage with Jacob A. Morehead of Perry Township, with whom she has traveled life's pathway for 50 years. To this marriage were born three children, Cora and Clara, who preceded her in death, and Otto Morehead of Carrollton. She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, her son, four grandchildren, three brothers, one sister and many friends. In early life she united with the Presbyterian Church of Harlem Springs, of which church she was a faithful member until death. Mr. Morehead with her family resided in Perry township the greater part of her life. About 2 1/2 years ago they moved to Carrollton, where she has since lived. Mrs. Morehead, as becomes a true Christian woman, had made many friends who will greatly miss her, but most of all will she be missed by the dear ones of her family, who will ever cherish her memory.
