Morehead died May 24 in his home on South Lisbon Street. A son of James and Mary Morehead, he was born December 28, 1848, in Lee Township, and was married October 17, 1872, to Lizzie Andrews, who died April 30, 1923. He lived and reared his family on the home farm in Perry Twp., and in 1920 moved to Carrollton to enjoy the remainder of his life. Mr. and Mrs. Morehead were the parents of two daughters and a son, Cora who died when two years old, Clara E. Morehead, married to J. C. Wenner September 20, 1905 and died July 30, 1912 leaving three daughters, Ethel, Helen and Hallie, and Otto Morehead, After the death of Mrs. Morehead, their son and daughter-in-law along with son Joseph, moved into the family home to care foe him. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Morehead, and their son Joseph; a sister, Mrs. Mary Fawcett of Washington Twp., three granddaughters, Mrs. Ethel Albaugh, of Kilgore, Helen and Hallie Wenner of Canton; two nieces, Mrs. Mary Mizer of East Springfield and Mrs. Knox Amsterdam, daughters of Sylvester Morehead, late of Lee Twp.; three nieces Mrs. George Magee, Mrs. William Wilson and Mrs. Richard Lawrence. A faithful and life-long member of the Presbyterian church, Mr. Morehead always attended services when his health permitted. He was buried May 26, services being in charge of pastor, Rev. B. J. Yorke.
