Their home is at Kilgore, but she says they have been living apart for some time. His obituary in the Free Press Standard, Carrollton, Ohio, Thursday, Sept. 8, 1966. Emanuel James Beckley, 75, of Kilgore died Friday at his residence after an illness of five weeks. He had suffered a cerebral hemorrhage. Born September 21, 1890, in Kilgore, he was the son of the late Levi and Ellen Catherine (Burrier) Beckley and was a life resident of that vicinity. Mr. Beckley was a member of Kilgore Lutheran Church, a veteran of World War I and a member of Fighting McCook Post 3301, VFW. On February 5, 1929, he married Clara Randolph, who survives along with three sons, Merl James Beckley and Franklin E. Beckley, both of Kilgore, and John E. Beckley of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Paul K. (Florence Elizabeth) Eick of Rt. 1, Malvern; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Two sons and one brother are deceased. Services were Monday at Kilgore Lutheran Church with Rev. C. M. Hollensen officiating. Burial was in Kilgore Cemetery, Allmon Funeral Home of Carrollton was in charged of arrangements.
