Description	:	Everett O. White, age 88, a longtime Antigua Road S.W. Carrollton (Leavittsville) resident, died late Sunday night, July 27, 2014 in the Community Hospice House at New Philadelphia, Ohio after a brief illness. He was born May 1, 1926 in Harlem Springs, Ohio and was the son of the late James Foster and Mildred Manwaring White. Carrollton (Leavittsville) resident, died late Sunday night, July 27, 2014 in the Community Hospice House at New Philadelphia, Ohio after a brief illness. He was born May 1, 1926 in Harlem Springs, Ohio and was the son of the late James Foster and Mildred Manwaring White. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Alberta May Smith Marshall, and his second wife, Alma Antram White, who died October 21, 2006, a brother Clyde White and a sister Marjorie White. Everett was a farmer for most of his life, a skilled plasterer, and also was a retired custodian for the Carrollton School District. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Leavittsville United Methodist Church where he had served as a church trustee. He also used to help regularly with the monthly Leavittsville Breakfast. Everett relished working in his garden and was fond of traveling. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be missed by his family. He is survived by his four children Foster (Jeannie) White of Louisville, OH, Melody Ann White of Carrollton, Matthew Owen (Mary Lou) White of Orlando, Florida, and Laura Amber Walker of Winchester, Virginia; a sister, Rhoda Long of Carrollton; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. July 31, 2014 in the Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville with Rev. Duane Quesenberry officiating. Interment will follow in the Harlem Springs Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Thursday, July 31, 2014 from 11:00 A.M. until time of services at 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Carroll County, 1040 Trump Road N.W., Suite B, Carrollton, OH 44615.
