She attended school in District 47 until she was 15 years of age when she began to teach in the public schools of Cloud county. Read More	Glasco Sun March 20, 1924 page 1: FRANCES BUTLER Frances Butler was born October 10, 1878 at the family home in Lyon township and passed away March 17, 1924 at the family home in this city after an illness of several years duration. She attended school in District 47 until she was 15 years of age when she began to teach in the public schools of Cloud county. After having taught 11 years in the schools of Cloud county, she went to Kansas City, Kansas where she taught in the public schools of that place for 4 years; from there she went to Chicago and taught in the public schools of that city for seven years being compelled to give up her work there two years ago on account of failing health. She returned to the family home at Glasco and though provided with the best of medical attention and the tender care of her loved ones, her illness was of such a nature that it could not be conquered and death brought relief to a patient and resigned sufferer, and the end to an upright, energetic and useful life. The deceased is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. P.E. Butler; four sisters and two brothers, Mrs. W.J. Menard; Miss Isabelle Butler, and Mr. Eugene Butler, Chicago, Ill.; Mr. T.J. Butler, Washington, D.C.; Mrs. Walter E. Davis and Miss Catherine Butler, of Glasco, and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 10:30 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Requiem Mass being pronounced by the Rev. Father McGrath. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery.
