Read More	Morristown Gazette & Mail, Mon, 11 Aug 1947, pg 1: "Morristown Man Is Killed In Traffic Accident In Michigan ----- Remains of Fred Moore, 28, of Battle Creek, Michigan, son of Mr. and Mrs George Moore of West Fifth North street this city, were returned to Morristown on Sunday night by Horton's. Mr. Moore lost his life as the result of a traffic accident which occurred at 3:40 Saturday two miles north of Phillipsburg in Darke county. He was a passenger in the car driven by James Rodney Evans, 23 of 315 Mansfield Place, Pars de Homes, which struck a tree, completely demolishing the car. Evans was uninjured but his mother Mrs. Hazel Evans age 44 suffered a fractured leg, laceration, and shock. Nurses at the Good Samaritan hospital, to which Mr. Moore was also removed, stated Saturday night that her condition was only fair. Mr. Moore died at 7:30 Saturday evening without regaining consciousness. He was said to suffer a crushed chest, fracture of the pelvis, fracture of both legs and a broken jaw. Surviving are his wife, the former Bonnie Greene and one daughter, Margie Ann Moore of this city; three brothers, Everett, of Battle Creek Mich., J. C. of this city and Paul of the U. S. Navy now stationed at St. Simons Island, Ga.,; three sisters, Mrs. Al Miller and Mrs. Edward Burggrabe of Battle Creek and Mrs. Frank Spencer of Jefferson City. The body will remain at the home of his parents Mr. and Mrs. George Moore, until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at Adriel Baptist church in Grainger County at 2:30 p. m. Tuesday."
