His obituary in the Carroll Chronicle, Carrollton, Ohio, Friday, October 20, 1905. Fred G. James died at his home in Kilgore Thursday after a brief illness of two weeks. The remains were interred Saturday, the funeral being conducted by Revs, Petty and Goering. Deceased was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Morris James and was aged 27 years and 9 months. He was married November 22, 1903, to Nina P. Scott of East Liverpool who, with the parents, is left to mourn the death of one so young and full of promise. A very large assemblage of friends from outside the county attended the funeral.
