Description	:	Her obituary in the Carroll Chronicle, Carrollton, Ohio, Friday, November 10, 1911. Mrs. Maud Maple died Friday last at 4 o'clock a.m. from injuries sustained in a runaway on the preceding Sunday. While she was driving home from church with her daughter Arville the buggy ran on to the horse in going down the Harlem hill. In rapidly turning the curve at the bottom of the hill the occupants were thrown out, and while she had no broken bones she was injured internally, paralyzed and unable to speak, although conscious. Mrs. Maud Maple died Friday last at 4 o'clock a.m. from injuries sustained in a runaway on the preceding Sunday. While she was driving home from church with her daughter Arville the buggy ran on to the horse in going down the Harlem hill. In rapidly turning the curve at the bottom of the hill the occupants were thrown out, and while she had no broken bones she was injured internally, paralyzed and unable to speak, although conscious. Her death is an extremely sad one as she leaves five small children, a great charge for her sorrowing husband, Merle, 18 years; Martha 12, Arvilla 10, James 5, and wilda 1. She has three brothers and two sisters. Mrs. Maple was born in 1871, her parents being Mr. and Mrs. James George, and in March, 1892, she was united in marriage to Harry W. Maple. Her sudden death has cast a gloom over the entire community where-in she was known and loved so well. Rev. Bleck conducted the funeral.
