Description	:	The funeral for John R. Sjoquist, 72, Tolley, who died on Saturday at his home, will be held this morning, Wednesday at 10:30 in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tolley.Rev. M. Eugene Tollefson will officiate and burial will be in the McKinney Cemetery, rural Tolley. Pallbearers will be Jerome Ritter, and grandsons Jerome, Gerold, Jackie and Mark Zeltinger and Joseph Ethen. Mrs. Raymond Peterson will be organist and Mrs. Harry Ostlund is soloist and will sing “The Old Rugged Cross” and “How Great Thou Art”. A family service was held on Tuesday at 8 p.m. in the Anderson-Dahle Funeral Home in Mohall. Mr. Sjoquist was born in Sweden June 16, 1898, to Mr. and Mrs. Johan Alfred Sjoquist. In 1904 he came to his father’s homestead in Grover Township, Renville County. He married Bernice Alexander in Mohall April 25, 1921. They farmed near Greene, then moved to McKinney where Mr. Sjoquist operated a repair shop. In 1937 they moved into Tolley. Mrs. Sjoquist died Nov. 5, 1969. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Leslie (Marie) Koran, San Francisco, Calif., and Mrs. Eunice Zeltinger and Mrs. Lawrence (Mae) Ethen, both of Tolley; two sons, Norman J. of Eureka, Calif., and Gordon D. of Tolley; two sisters, Mrs. Ray Atwood, Tolley, and Mrs. Ruth Olson, Longdale, Calif.; 26 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
