In the early night on Monday, November 2, 1925, from her daughter's home in Amsterdam, Malinda (Yingling) Gotschall passed triumphly to her reward in heaven. She lived a long time in our community and was good and faithful, so sweet-spirited and patient. She was one of those whom to know is to love. Her home life was most beautiful; the loving fellowship with those dear ones whom God had given her was beautiful to behold. Her life was testimony that she had ben with and learned of Jesus. She saw the bright and cheerful side of life and it was a pleasure to meet her. Our memories of her will always be precious. She was patient and kind to wait on. Changing her mind from earthly to heavenly things, then hoping and trusting, sweetly sank to rest, trusting Christ. Mother walked in the Valley of the Shadow of death. When we think of the death of our sainted mother, can you not, do you not; say let me die the death or the righteous. Rev. Elliott spoke tender words of farewell to dead and benediction to the living. She was laid to rest at Simmons Ridge Cemetery. lonely and desolate is our home for mother has gone; but as long as life and being endure, so long shall fond remembrances of her linger in our memories.
