She died of cancer March 11, 2002 at the Immanuel Transitional Care Center in Omaha.She attended rural grade school at Castalia #3, west of Platte, SD and graduated from High chool at Augustana Academy, Canton, SD. She excelled in music and was a member of their traveling choir. She worked at the Brumm Eye Laser Center in Omaha, NE for 11 years until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant granddaughter.
