Funeral Services Were Held at Stoutsville Sunday at Reformed Church. Mrs. Mary Catherine Levan, wife of Ed. Levan, of near Stoutsville, died Thursday morning at 2 o'clock from the effects of paralysis, after a five days illness. Deceased was a daughter of George and Mary Leist Valentine and was born near Stoutsville April 5, 1851. She was united in marriage with Mr. Levan on April 5, 1867, who with the following children survive: Geroge F., residence unknown; Mrs. John Miller, Stoutsville; Mrs. Millard Hancock, Columbus; Chester E., Bloomingburg; Chester, Columbus. The following brothers also survive: Elias, Eli, Albert and George L. Valentine. Funeral services were conducted at the Reformed Church in Stoutsville, of which deceased was a member Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev. Mr. Beaver. Interment in Maple Hill Cemetery."
