ELLA MOREY PASSED AWAY TUESDAY MORNING Mary Ella Morey of Montgomery, 76 years, 11 months and 1 day of age passed away Tuesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. O. M. M. Martinson in Spirit Lake. She was the eldest child of Jacob B. and Mary Ann Derr. She was 76 years, 11 months and 1 day old at the time of her death. She was united in marriage to Mason L. Morey on March 13, 1887. Eight children were born to the union, five daughters and three sons, Addie Morey Stokes, Emma Maude Wright, Mrs. O. M. Martinson, Mrs. Bessie Pagel, Miss Mollie Morey, Harry M., Edgar and Frankie. She was preceded in death by her husband and four children, Addie, Emma Maude, Harry and Frank who died in infancy. She united with the M. E. church at Casey. Her early life was spent in Illinois. For the past 13 years she had resided at Montgomery. The Spirit Lake Beacon, Nov. 2, 1933 ------------------ Note about daughter, Bessie (Morey) Pagel was born Jan. 5, 1896 and died Sept. 5, 1988 in Minneapolis, Minn. -------------------
