Description	:	Mary Katheryn Lange, 93, of Postville, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2008, at The Good Samaritan Center in West Union. Mass and funeral services will be at 11:30 am on December 26th, at St. Bridge Catholic Church, 141 W. Williams St. in Postville, IA, with Father Gaul officiating. Internment will be in the Postville Cemetery following. Mary was born on May 31, 1915 in Clermont, IA to Katheryn and Charles Killerlain. She was a 1933 graduate of Clermont High School. On July 17, 1937, she married Merle W. Lange. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing cards, knitting, sewing, and needlepoint. She was well-known for her cooking. In the summer, she enjoyed gardening and working in her flower beds. Mary was an active member of St. Bridget Parish and the Rosary Society. Merle and Mary retired in 1978 and spent their winters in Harlingen, Texas and Mesa, Arizona. Mary is survived by her husband, Merle Lange, long-time Postville resident; two daughters, Mary Chris White, of Spirit Lake, and Carol Lange, of Postville; one grandson, Tim White, of Santa Fe, NM; one granddaughter, Michelle Arneson, of Spirit Lake; three great-grandchildren, Lindsey Arneson and Zach Arneson, of Spirit Lake, and Elizabeth White, of Santa Fe, NM. Mary was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation with family present will be at St. Bridget Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m., prior to the Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted for a memorial fund Schutte Funeral Home of Postville is in charge of arrangements.
