She was born Sept 27, 1891, near Overbrook, the daughter of Henderson and Alice Lemons Reed. She spent most of her life in the Overbrook community. She was a funeral director, who along with her husband, owned and operated the Baker Funeral Home at Overbrook from 1930 to December 1967. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Amaramth Club, Cosmos Club, and the Flower Club, all at Overbrook. She was a member and past president of WSCS of the church. She was married June 15, 1918, to Roy Neal Baker at Topeka. He died Jan 28, 1974. A daughter Mrs Bernice Allen died in 1952. Survivors include a sister; Mrs Zella Miller, Overbrook; and a grandson, Earle Baker Allen, 5642 W 17th Ter, Topeka, Kansas. Services were at 2pm Monday at the First United Methodist Church at Overbrook.Burial was in Overbrook Cemetery. Greenwood-Roberts Funeral Home of Overbrook was in charge.
