She had been ill for two years and in critical condition for the past five months. Death was caused by pneumonia and complications. Mrs. Mears was born at Maysville, Ky. and spent her girlhood and married life in New Richmond. Her husband, Ephriam Mears, whom she married 45 years ago, died Sept. 1929. She was a member of the New Richmond Methodist church. Mrs. Mears is survived by four nephews, James Tribby of Manila, Philippines; Charles Bastion of Topeka, Kansas; Gaylord Tribby of New Richmond; Emory Tribby of Indianapolis; five nieces, Mary Miller and Bertha Greatbatch of Darlington; May McCutcheon of Ft. Wayne; Mary Pierce of West Lafayette; and Etta Allen of Ladoga; and two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Grace Tribby, at whose home she died, and Margaret Tribby of New Richmond. Friends may call at the home of Mrs. Tribby to pay their respects. The funeral will be held at one o'clock Wednesday afternoon from the New Richmond Methodist church in charge of Rev. Prevo. Burial will be made in the New Richmond cemetery.
