Description	:	Ora O. Marlatt,74, of Crawfordsville, died Monday, April 27, 1987, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. He had been ill for the past 10 months and seriously ill for about two weeks. Services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the Jones Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Dennis Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Crawfordsville Cemetery. Visitation will begin at the funeral home after 9 a.m. Wednesday. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. Mr. Marlatt was born in Macon County, Ill. on Oct. 18, 1912, a son of Roy Edward and Letha (Brill) Marlatt. He was reared and educated in Illinois. He married Alcinda Orris in Middle Inlet, Wis., on Oct. 18,1939. He was a veteran of World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post in Crawfordsville. He lived most of his adult life in Washington County and was a member of the United Church of Crawfordsville. Mr. Marlatt worked for Home Lumber and Feed Company for 31 years in Crawfordsville and also had worked for Reschly Carpenter Shop in Wayland. Survivors include his wife, Alcinda of Crawfordsville; a son, Sonny Marlatt of Stanwood; a daughter, Rita (Mrs. Carl Carlson of Lockridge; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; five brothers, Roy and Charles both of Maroa, Ill.; Elwood of Trenton, N.J.; Donald of Deland, Ill.; and Norman of Crivita, Wis.; two sisters, Mary Mays of Pestigo, Wis.; and Dorothy (Mrs. Lawerance) Campbell of Crivitz, Wis. He was preceded in death by one son, Olen Robert, two brothers, Wyatt and Robert and his parents. Washington Evening Journal; April 28, 1987 Iowa MM 3/c, USN.
