Death was caused by a heart attack. Rachael Lorraine Rogers, the second child of Alfred and Hester (Williams) Rogers, was born on a farm 1 1/2 miles east of Glasco, Kansas, October 23, 1902, and departed this life February 13, 1966, at the age of 63 years, 3 months, and 20 days. She taught elementary grades in the country School District 68 after receiving her education in the Glasco schools, graduating with her class in 1923. Later she was an assistant in the Glasco post office. In 1926 she was united in marriage to John D. Noel who died in 1929. To this union a daughter, Beth, was born. On February 4, 1933, Rachael was united in wedlock to Criswell B. Pritchett, and to them four children came to bless the home. They are Mary Jo, now Mrs. Olin Stortz of Concordia; Virginia Rae, now Mrs. Myron Hangadine of Glasco; David Carl of Olathe and James Henry, now in the U.S. Navy. Mrs. Pritchett's devotion to her home and family made her a true wife and mother in every sense of the word. Children loved her. She understood them and entered sympathetically into their happiness and sorrow; they eagerly anticipated a visit in her home. Mrs. Pritchett was ever ready to give a lending hand to any neighbor she knew in need, always thinking of self last. Her flower and vegetable gardens were sources of delight to many with whom she shared so freely. Her parents, a brother, Herman, and a daughter, Beth, preceded her in death. The surviving members of the family are: her husband, two daughters, two sons, a sister, Mrs. Raymond Pilcher, and nine grandchildren. Many other relatives and friends cherish the memories of this cheerful, kind and loving woman. Funeral services were conducted from the Dean Funeral Home in Glasco Tuesday with Rev. Gordon Tasker of the Methodist Church officiating. Interment was in the Glasco Cemetery. Pallbearers were Gerald Adkins, Bernard Orebaugh, Lowell Nutland, Howard Courtney, Andy Struble and Louis Cool. Organist was Nadine Teasley and Ronald King was vocalist.
