A reception was given at his father's on Thursday when a feast that would do honor to any city caterer was spread before a few invited guests. This next was in the Carroll Chronicle, Carrollton, Ohio, Friday, June 21, 1895. The report of Mr. Alvin Yeager's marriage was not premature. Their reception was a delightful one to the favored few. My, how our mouths watered as we thought of the good things which loaded the table for Mesdame Yeager and her daughter are proficient in entertaining. We wish the young couple "bon voyage." They are both engaged to teach next year in Jefferson County and are well qualified. His obituary in the Free Press Standard, Carrollton, Ohio, Thursday, Nov. 21, 1940. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the Graham Parlors at Amsterdam and at 11:00 in the Harlem Springs Methodist Church for Rev. A. E. Yeager, 73, a Methodist minister in Ohio and Pennsylvania for 31 years, who died in Cleveland Monday. Rev. G. F. Birney of Amsterdam will have charge of the services and burial will be in Harlem Springs Cemetery. Rev. Mr. Yeager was a native of Harlem Springs. Since his retirement in 1931, he had made his home with a daughter, Mrs. Helen Brown of East Cleveland. His widow, Matilda, and five sons including Dr. Floyd and Harold Yeager of Marion, Ohio, also survive.
