He married 2: Susannah West (1824-March 8, 1893). They were married on December 8, 1842. He was the father of Mary Kindle, Amy Kindle Hendrixson, Rachel A. Kindle Shaw, Amanda Kindle Shinkle, Helenor "Ella" Kindle Shreve, George Thomas Kindle and Clement L. Kindle. He died at the home of his son Clem in Hamilton County, Ohio.
