He ran a government distillery before he moved to American Spinning where he ran a store. __________________________________ Greenville News , 21 October 1921: W.H.Moon Dies After A Lingering Illness William Henry Moon, well known resident of the American Spinning company's village, died at 11 o'clock Thursday morning at his home on Williams street following a lingering illness. Three sons Messrs. John A. , Bub and W.M. Moon of Greenville; Mrs I.L. Wooten, Mrs. E.J. Barton, Mrs. J.F. Hester, and Mrs. L.P. Coleman, his four daughters survive him. For twenty- one years Mr. Moon had lived in Greenville. Rev. Mr. Fields, pastor of the Baptist church at the American Spinning company, will conduct the funeral services which are to be held Saturday morning at 11 o'clock from Glassy Mountain church in the upper section of Greenville county. The interment will be made in the church cemetery. ____________________________________ Greenville News -- 22 October 1921 Funeral Today For William Henry Moon Funeral services for William Henry Moon, well known resident of the American Spinning Company village, whose death occurred Thursday morning will be held 11 o'clock this morning from Glassy Mountain church, in the upper section of the county. Mr. Moon was a resident in Greenville for the past 20 years and during his life had so lived as to have the respect of a large circle of friends. Three sons and four daughters survive him. The services this morning will be conducted by the Rev. Mr. Fields, pastor of the Baptist church in the village. The cars will leave the residence for the church at 9 o'clock. ____________________________________ Note: the obituaries only acknowledge the children he had with Eunice Frances Stewart.
