Read More	In the 1900 census William was living in Loudon Township, Carroll County, Ohio. William was listed as age 56 born February 1844 in Ohio, his wife Lydia A. age 54 born July 1845 in Ohio. Their granddaughter Lulla M. Martin age 13 born December 1886 in Ohio, was living with them at that time. His obituary, date and paper unknown. William Martin died at his home in Kilgore after a brief illness of one week. He was born February 7, 1844 at Harlem and lived his entire life in that vicinity and Kilgore. He was married to Lydia A. Stewart, August 11, 1866. To this union were born four children, all whom survive; Mrs. Howard Gibson of Scio, Mrs. Wesley Polen of Amsterdam, L. I. Martin of Wellsville and G. D. Martin, of Canal Dover. Besides these children he leaves a loving wife, 18 grandchildren, one sister, two brothers and a host of friends to mourn his loss. He enlisted in the Army during the Civil War and was an excellent soldier. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Wooley, and the soldiers had their ritual at the grave in the Kilgore Cemetery and they buried the stars and stripes with their comrade. William J.
