Yeager, 80, of Harlem Springs, died early Sunday in Timken Mercy Hospital where he had been a patient for ten days. A self employed farmer, he was active in the lumber and oil business until his retirement in 1964. He also operated Harlem Mills, a steam grist and feed mill until 1938. A life resident of Carroll County, he was born in Loudon Twp. May 29, 1897, a son of the late William J. and Eva (Harding) Yeager. An Army Veteran of World War I, he was a member of Carroll Post No. 428 American Legion, and of Harsh Memorial United Methodist Church. Survivors include six sons; Sheriff Dean Yeager, John and William, all of Carrollton, Ralph and Donald of Harlem Springs and Thomas of Louisville; two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Mary) White of Carrollton and Mrs. Maxine Poplin of Harlem Springs; 32 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. His wife Pearl Blazer, preceded him in death August 9, 1975. Services were held Wednesday in the Sweeney Funeral Home at Carrollton with Rev. Kerry K. King officiating. Burial was in Harlem Springs Cemetery.
