Description	:	Anna Mariah Dewey (sic) was born near Carlyle (sic), Cumberland county, Pa., on Nov. 19, 1847, and died in Kingman, Kans., Feb. 24, 1927, aged 79 years, three months and five days. She was the oldest of thirteen children, twelve of whom lived to maturity. She was married Feb. 10, 1870, to Samuel F. Kinert, of Carlyle (sic), Pa. To this union were born three children, Mrs. Geo. In 1876 they came to Kansas, locating near Viola. They came to Kingman county in 1885. Mrs. Kinert has lived in Kingman since 1920. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Geo. Pulliam, and son, John X. Kinert; her sister, Mrs. Susan Throne and Mrs. Sallie Smarch (sic), of Chester, Nebr., her brothers, John, Jacob and David Dewey (sic), of Chester, Nebr., and four grandchildren, and three great-grandhildren. She had been a member of the Methodist Episcopal church for 40 years. A sturdy, hard-working mother, a sincere Christian woman, she has taken her departure for that promised land toward which she resolutely turned her face years ago. It will not be any surprise to her when she comes forth at the resurrection morn to be with Jesus forever. Kingman Journal, Friday, March 4, 1927 ============================ The death of Mrs. Anna Kinert occurred Thursday of last week at her home on North Main St. Death followed a critical illness of several weeks, during which time she was under constant care and despite of all that could be done was very bad all the time. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 3:30 at the Methodist church (sic) with Rev. Gardner in charge. The body was laid to rest beside that of her husband who preceded her in death some fifteen years.
