Description	:	Mary S. Throne was born near Carlisle, Cumberland Co., Pennsylvania, on October 8, 1857. She was the seventh child of William and Elizabeth Duey. On December 17, 1885 she was united to Philip A. Throne and with him came to Nebraska in 1886 to make their home. For many years they lived near Munden, Kansas. Mrs. Throne united with the Methodist Episcopal church (sic) in Munden many years ago. She was an active worker in the church and found time to teach a boy's Sunday school class and be president of the Ladies Aid in... Read More	Mary S. Throne was born near Carlisle, Cumberland Co., Pennsylvania, on October 8, 1857. She was the seventh child of William and Elizabeth Duey. On December 17, 1885 she was united to Philip A. Throne and with him came to Nebraska in 1886 to make their home. For many years they lived near Munden, Kansas. Mrs. Throne united with the Methodist Episcopal church (sic) in Munden many years ago. She was an active worker in the church and found time to teach a boy's Sunday school class and be president of the Ladies Aid in addition to her home duties. In 1912 she united with the Methodist Episcopal church (sic) in Chester and continued her active work in the church here. Her membership was retained in this church throughout the remainder of her life. She was all earnest, devoted Christian and for many years a patient sufferer. The family moved to Chester in the spring of 1926 where she resided until her departure from this life on March 7, 1933, age 75 years, 4 months and 30 days. Besides her husband, Philip A. Throne, she is survived by her three children, Florence Crump, Mable Sawyer, and W.C. Throne all of Chester; three grandchildren, Wilma Faye Sawyer, Lorene Sawyer, and Marjorie Throne; also a sister, Mrs. John Smarsh of Chester. These together with many other relatives and friends mourn her passing. "Servant of God, well done. Rest from they loved employ; The battle fought, the victory won, Enter thy Master's joy.
