Description	:	Bernice J. Rufenacht, age 84 years, of Archbold, passed away early Friday morning, December 9, 2011, at CHP Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice. She was born December 16, 1926, near Wauseon, the daughter of Moses and Ida (Nofzinger) Nofziger. She married Maynard Rufenacht on November 20, 1955 and he preceded her in death on January 21, 2006. A lifelong resident of the Archbold area she was a homemaker. For 15 years, she with her husband, volunteered the winter months in Tucson, Arizona, working through SOOP of the Mennonite Mission Network. Rufenacht, age 84 years, of Archbold, passed away early Friday morning, December 9, 2011, at CHP Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice. She was born December 16, 1926, near Wauseon, the daughter of Moses and Ida (Nofzinger) Nofziger. She married Maynard Rufenacht on November 20, 1955 and he preceded her in death on January 21, 2006. A lifelong resident of the Archbold area she was a homemaker. For 15 years, she with her husband, volunteered the winter months in Tucson, Arizona, working through SOOP of the Mennonite Mission Network. She was a volunteer at Care & Share in Archbold, currier for Fairlawn Haven, Fulton County Health Center, a quilter at Sauder Village and a Hosts Mentor at Pettisville School. She was a member at West Clinton Mennonite Church near Pettisville. She is survived by five children, Jean Hartzler of Goshen, IN, Jim (Linda) Rufenacht, and Corwin (Peg) Rufenacht, both of Archbold, Terry (Terri) Rufenacht and Lonnie (Barb) Rufenacht both of Wauseon; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Daryl (Margaret) Nofziger of Wauseon. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, Clifford Nofziger, Orville Nofziger, and Wayne Nofziger; three sisters, Kathryn Short, Ilva Grieser, and Elverda Rufenacht. Memorial Service will be held on Thursday at 11 AM at the West Clinton Mennonite Church with Pastors Jesse and Naomi Engle officiating. Interment will precede at 9:30 AM in the Pettisville Cemetery.
