Description	:	Bertha M. Britsch, 105, of Archbold, died early Tuesday morning, August 20, 2002 at Fairlawn Haven in Archbold, where she had resided since April 24, 1989. She was born December 4, 1896, near Archbold, to Christian and Magdalena (Stutzman) Wyse. She married Lewis Britsch on March 20, 1915 and he preceded her in death on March 24 1989. She was a lifelong resident of the Archbold area, a homemaker and the oldest resident ever to live at Fairlawn Haven. Britsch, 105, of Archbold, died early Tuesday morning, August 20, 2002 at Fairlawn Haven in Archbold, where she had resided since April 24, 1989. She was born December 4, 1896, near Archbold, to Christian and Magdalena (Stutzman) Wyse. She married Lewis Britsch on March 20, 1915 and he preceded her in death on March 24 1989. She was a lifelong resident of the Archbold area, a homemaker and the oldest resident ever to live at Fairlawn Haven. After World War II, she with her husband, spent two years in Germany serving in a Mennonite Central Committee program helping feed, clothe and rehabilitate the homeless. Later, they worked with the Mennonite Disaster Service for over 20 years volunteering for projects all over the United States. A member of the Central Mennonite Church, she and her husband, along with four other couples, helped start Little Eden, a church-sponsored camp near Onekama, Michigan. Surviving are a daughter, Meredith Beck of Archbold; two daughter-in-laws, Irene Britsch and Doris Britsch, both of Archbold; eight grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 42 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Olen and Dale; a grandson, Ronald Beck; two great-grandchildren; Ricky Beck and Lisa Beck; five brothers Simon Wyse, Edwin Wyse, William Wyse, Jefferson Wyse and Daniel Wyse; and five sisters, Ella Wyse, Emma Rupp, Amanda Rupp, Mary Short and Lavina Frey Fletcher.
