She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 58 years, Robert Lane and sister Billie Wackford. Loving mother of Robert Thomas of Carmichael, Kenneth (Joyce) of Roseville, Toni of Citrus Heights, Jerry (Judy) of Fall Creek Oregon, Cory (Inez) of Baxley Georgia, Lisa of Sacramento and Roger (Renee) of Citrus Heights. Preceded in death by daughter Michele Shirley. Devoted grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of 5. Also leaves numerous nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her family and dear friends Billie and Harvey Eliot and Jane Ellering. Her kind heart and giving ways drew everyone close to her, and all knew her door was always open, as was her heart. She was the strength and support to all who knew her. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. Later in life after her children were grown, she became an avid genealogist traveling to her birth place and other places to collect information on her family. She collected extensive genealogical and other information on both the Lane and Richter families and published the information for all family members to enjoy. One of her greatest joys was spending time at the family cabin near Lake Tahoe. Services will be held at Fair Oaks Cemetery on July 6, 2007 at 10 am. Remembrances may be made in Celia's name to the American Cancer Society, the First Call Home Care and Hospice, or a charity of your choice. The family thanks First Call Home Care and Hospice for their care and support of our mother. Arrangements by the Neptune Society of Northern California.
