Description	:	Doris Marie Liechty, 89, of Archbold, passed away peacefully Friday, August 22 in her home. Doris was born March 16, 1925 at the family home near Pettisville, Ohio. She was the daughter of Daniel and Rosa (Beck) Grieser. She married Wesley Paul Liechty on June 3, 1945 and he preceded her in death on September 11, 1994. Doris was an active lifelong member of West Clinton Mennonite Church. Doris & Wes owned and operated Liechty Motors for many years. Read More	Doris Marie Liechty, 89, of Archbold, passed away peacefully Friday, August 22 in her home. Doris was born March 16, 1925 at the family home near Pettisville, Ohio. She was the daughter of Daniel and Rosa (Beck) Grieser. She married Wesley Paul Liechty on June 3, 1945 and he preceded her in death on September 11, 1994. Doris was an active lifelong member of West Clinton Mennonite Church. Doris & Wes owned and operated Liechty Motors for many years. Due to Wes’s ill health the business was sold and Doris continued to work in the business several more years before retiring. She then kept busy volunteering for the Fulton County Hospital Auxiliary, local and county chapters, Fairlawn Auxiliary and Café and dining room, Lamplighters, Care & Share, the MOPS program, West Clinton Sewing (WMSC), and quilting at Sauder Village. Doris is survived by three daughters and one son: Ruth (Irving) Veley of Dubuque, IA - children Christina Laukaitis (Robert Karn) and Derrick Laukaitis (fiancé Heather Russell); Paul (Pauline) Liechty of Chalfont, PA - children Lisa (Michael) Saalfrank and Karin (Stan) Honeybone; Joyce (Richard) Winzeler of Archbold - children Tammy (Cory-dec.) Sprow and Teri (Eric) Fraker; and Jo Ann Liechty of Archbold. Also surviving are sisters Lucile Grieser and Arlene Grieser; eight great-grandchildren Michael, Caitlin, and Allison Saalfrank, Jonathan Honeybone, Ally and Kendall Sprow, and Isaac and Will Fraker; in-laws Dorothy Grieser, Estelle Grieser, Russel (Marge) Liechty, Loveda Liechty, Treva Liechty, and David Lehman, and many nieces and nephews. Doris was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers - Orland, Ivan, Cletus, Chauncey, Dale, and Marvin; sisters Dorothy and Florence Grieser. A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday, August 31 at Fairlawn Haven Chapel. Friends may call at the Chapel from 12:30 P.M. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the West Clinton Mennonite Church. The family wishes to express our heartfelt thanks to all the Visiting Angels of Edgerton, Passionate Care of Burlington, the Ohioans Home Health Care Agency, and Eric Lehman M.D., for the loving and quality care given to our Mother. We rest assured in the knowledge that our Mother has at last gained her heavenly home.
