Description	:	Doris Wyatt 3/13/1921 - 7/9/2013 Doris, affectingly known as "Auntie Doris" by her family, was the youngest child of John and Nellie Popoff. Doris was born in San Francisco, California. She grew up in Sheridan. Doris married William Wyatt, a Lincolnite, in 1941. They celebrated over 70 years of married bliss together. When World War II broke out, Bill was drafted into the Army. Read More	Doris Wyatt 3/13/1921 - 7/9/2013 Doris, affectingly known as "Auntie Doris" by her family, was the youngest child of John and Nellie Popoff. Doris was born in San Francisco, California. She grew up in Sheridan. Doris married William Wyatt, a Lincolnite, in 1941. They celebrated over 70 years of married bliss together. When World War II broke out, Bill was drafted into the Army. Doris followed him to Texas where he took his basic training. when he was sent overseas, she returned to Lincoln where she would spend the rest of her life. Doris was employed by the United States Post Office for many years. She was a member of the Native Daughters of the Golden West, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She loved hunting and fishing with her husband. She enjoyed spending time in her garden, and sewing and cooking. She was a self-taught pianist and a computer whiz. She loved to try things and was always looking for ways to "build a better mouse trap" but her greatest passion was her family: her nephews and nieces, her great-nephews and nieces. Auntie Doris will be deeply missed and in our hearts always. She will be buried next to her husband who preceded her in death. Graveside services are pending.
