Description	:	Evelyn J. Andre, age 91, of Archbold, passed away Tuesday afternoon, November 24, 2015, at Fairlawn Haven in Archbold. She was born December 31, 1923 near Archbold, the daughter of John and Mary (Beck) Nofzinger. She married Dale D. Short on December 31, 1941. After his death she married Gail S. Andre on June 14, 1968. A lifelong resident of the Archbold area, she was involved in the former Nofzinger Motor Sales, Eicher Coal Company and the Before and After Antique Shop along with several rentals. Andre, age 91, of Archbold, passed away Tuesday afternoon, November 24, 2015, at Fairlawn Haven in Archbold. She was born December 31, 1923 near Archbold, the daughter of John and Mary (Beck) Nofzinger. She married Dale D. Short on December 31, 1941. After his death she married Gail S. Andre on June 14, 1968. A lifelong resident of the Archbold area, she was involved in the former Nofzinger Motor Sales, Eicher Coal Company and the Before and After Antique Shop along with several rentals. Evelyn enjoyed sewing, picnicking and skiing at Baw Beese, vacationing at Burt Lake in northern Michigan and time spent with family and their activities. She was a lifelong member of Central Mennonite Church. She is survived by children, Verle (Marie) Short, Jane (Marlin) Gearig, both of Archbold, and Lee (Linda) Short, of Port Clinton; step-children, Dorothy (Mike) Lowman of Pensacola, FL, Rachel (Paul) Peters of Lexington, SC, Carl (Kathy) Andre of Bryan and Lois (Earl) Andre-Springer of Cape Cod, MA; seven grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and 2 step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Dale and Gail and a great grandson, Quinn. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 5 at 4:00 at Central Mennonite Church near Archbold. Private interment will precede at the Pettisville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 – 12:30 on December 5 at the church. Memorials may be given to Central Mennonite Church, Fairlawn Haven, Sara’s Garden or a charity of the donor’s choice.
