His obituary in the Free Press Standard, Carrollton, Ohio, Thursday, December 28, 1961. Frank C. McIntire, 73, of Rt. 1, Amsterdam, died Monday in Aultman Hospital after an illness of one year. He had been hospitalize three weeks. Born September 22, 1888, in Lee Twp., he was a son of the late James H. and Lydia (Cogsil) McIntire. A farmer, Mr. McIntire had resided in Carroll County most of his life. He was a member of Harlem Springs Presbyterian Church. Surviving are one son, James P. of Rt. 1, Amsterdam; a daughter, Mrs. Victor Headrick of Rt. 2, Carrollton; three brothers, Fred of Carrollton, Robert of Rt. 4, Carrollton, and Ralph of Harlem Springs; three sisters, Mrs. William Stenger of Rt. 1, Amsterdam, Mrs. Ruth Fry and Mrs. Albert Winings, both of Carrollton; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mrs. Bessie (George) McIntire, February 22, 1942, and his second wife, Mrs. Nelle Virginia (Burch) McIntire January 25, 1961. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. this Thursday in the Allmon Funeral Home here with Rev. David L. Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Harlem Springs Cemetery.
