Carrollton died Sunday, May 2, in Hospitality House at Massillon where he had been a patient the past five years. A retired farmer, he was born in Carroll County, and was a son of the late James and Lydia (Cogsil) McIntire. He once served on the former Dellroy School Board and a member of the Farm Bureau of Monroe Township and Harsh Memorial Methodist Church at Harlem Springs. Survivors include his wife, Hazel Hinton, whom he married June 30, 1926; three daughters, Mrs. Alex (Lila) Zakoske of Phoenix, Mrs. Joe (Lita Fae) Martinez of Palmdale, California and Mrs. James (Mary) Harper of Massillon; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a daughter, three brothers, four sisters and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held this Wednesday at the Allmon-Dugger Funeral Home with Rev. Gary George officiating. Burial was in Harlem Springs Cemetery.
