Cogsil obituary, but his obituary stated he was a native of Loudoun County, Virginia, also note in my research Connecticut came up in all of the census records, and that he moved from Connecticut to Virginia before moving to Ohio.), and he died in Loudon Twp., Carroll Co., Ohio. Harvey & his wife Mary are buried in the Kilgore Cemetery, three of their sons are buried next to them, they are; John T., Anson B. and George W. Cogsil. His obituary in the Carroll Chronicle, Carrollton, Ohio, Friday, March 13, 1885. Cogsil--March 12, 1885, after an illness of two weeks with erysipelas, Harvey Cogsil of Loudon Township--aged 87 years. Remains will be interred in Kilgore Cemetery tomorrow. Deceased was a native of Loudon County, Virginia. He has lived in Carroll County for perhaps fifty years. He was interested in building the Carrollton & Oneida Railroad and in organizing the Carroll County Agricultural Society. He was first President of that society. He was one of the most active spirits in establishing a Democratic paper in Carroll County in 1870-71. It may be proper to state in this connection that the Chronicle concludes its fourteenth volume this week. He was the oldest of about twenty-five stockholders, and the sixth to die since the enterprise was started. Information researched by Richard Paul Culler of Carrollton, Ohio.
