Read More	OBITUARY - Plain Dealer, Wabash (IN) - November 27, 1939 DEATH CLAIMS FORMER CITY FIRE LADDIE One of the first paid members of the Wabash fire departmant, Jacob Feigly, 79, died Sunday evening at 11:10 o'clock at his home, 575 Manchester avenue, where he had resided the past 43 years. He had been in ill health the past two years and seriously ill the last two weeks. Mr. Feigley served as a volunteer fireman until 1912 when he became a paid fireman under Chris Wolfrum and drove the hook and ladder wagon for three years. He was also a former employee of B. Walter and company. The son of Francis and Hanna Feigley, he was born in Wabash county, July 6, 1860. He was married to Miss Emma Rupley and last April the couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. Surviving are the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Lena Sailors; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Lena Bussard, North Manchester. He was one of eight children. A son preceded him in death. The body was taken to the Wire funeral home and will be returned to the late residence Tuesday evening. Friends may call there. Short services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:10 o'clock at the late residence, 575 Manchester avenue, followed by services at the Wesleyan Methodist church at 2:30 o'clock, Rev. Edward Smithee of Fort Wayne, will officiate, assisted by Rev. E.E. Cory of the Wesleyan Methodist church. Burial will be in Falls cemetery.
