Arthur Noble, 81, of Rt. 1, Kensington, died suddenly and unexpectedly of a heart attack Tuesday evening at his home. Born January 7, 1884, in Belmont County, a son of the late David and Mary (Lawrence) Noble, he had resided most of his life in Lee Twp. near Harlem Springs. Mr. Noble had lived in East Twp. the past 21 years. A retired farmer, he was serving as an agent for Sandy & Beaver Grange Insurance, Mr. Noble was a member of Harlem Springs Methodist Church and Stillfork Grange, and was a past master of Harlem Springs Grange. He was married January 1, 1911, to the former Nora Mae McCorkhill, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Howard Arthur Noble of Harlem Springs; a daughter, Mrs. Edna Mae Allen of Louisville; one brother, D. Edgar Noble of Carrollton; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Walter; a daughter, Ethel; two brothers and a sister. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Allmon Funeral Home here with Rev. Paul George officiating. Burial will be in Harlem Springs Cemetery. Calling hours are 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
