Each couple was attended by Jos. Payer and Frank Zeman as marchals and by three bridesmaids and groomsmen. Following the ceremonies in the church the wedding party divided and went to the homes of the brides, where a wedding feast was spread, and all enjoyed a pleasant social good time during the day. In the evening they gathered in Hronek's hall and spent a few hours in dancing, music being furnished by the local orchestra." Peter and Paul's Catholic church here for John Shors, 75, well known Pocahontas resident, who died at 3:30 a.m. Monday, May 25, at the home of his son, George. He had been in failing health for the last year. Burial was in Calvary cemetery here. After retiring from farming, Mr. Shors was a local real estate man for a number of years. He was preceded in death by his wife and a son, Louis, who died in 1930 at the age of 28 years. Survivors include his son, George; one daughter, Mrs. Martin (Lucy) Alexander; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, Mary Kay and Linda Jean Alexander and two brothers, James Shors of Pocahontas and Edward F.
