Description	:	Kenneth J. Hartman, age 76 years, of Archbold, passed away early Friday morning, September 22, 2017, at Fairlawn Haven Care Center in Archbold. He was born September 4, 1941, at Ann Arbor, MI, the son of Elias and Doris (Rebeau) Hartman. He married Joyce Kingsbury on June 29, 1963 and she preceded him in death on March 13, 2006. A resident of the Montpelier area for 33 years before moving to Archbold in 2011, he was a dispatcher for Norfolk Southern Railroad for 38 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family.... Read More	Kenneth J. He was born September 4, 1941, at Ann Arbor, MI, the son of Elias and Doris (Rebeau) Hartman. He married Joyce Kingsbury on June 29, 1963 and she preceded him in death on March 13, 2006. A resident of the Montpelier area for 33 years before moving to Archbold in 2011, he was a dispatcher for Norfolk Southern Railroad for 38 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family. He was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Wauseon, and the Fulton County Horseshoe Club. He is survived by five children, Ellen Hartman of Cincinnati, Jim (Kathy) Hartman of West Unity, Susan (Shaun Baker) Hartman of Parma, Eli (Chris) Hartman of Blue Springs, MO, and Linda (Chris) Richmond of Pioneer; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Glenn (Marcia) Hartman of Wauseon and John Hartman of Toledo. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and a brother, Dale Hartman. Services will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM at the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) with Pastor Michael Doerr officiating. Interment will follow in the Pettisville Cemetery. Friends may call at Short Funeral Home in Archbold from 2 – 8 PM on Monday. The family suggests that memorials be given to the donor’s choice.
