He graduated from Sacramento Adventist School in Carmichael, Sacramento, California and continued his education at American River College in Carmichael, California. While going to high school and college, he worked for the same business as his dad mowing lawns at vacant houses listed for sale. He was the son of James Charles Davis and Barbara Jean (Taylor). He married, Marilyn Gail Duncan on 5 December 1965 in Carson City, Nevada and moved to Placerville, El Dorado, California where he worked for the County of El Dorado as a janitor. He was divorced from Marilyn in December 1969 in Sacramento, California. He and Marilyn had a son, Brian Davis, on 26 June 1966 in Placerville, California, who was still born. Another son was born, Kenneth James Davis, on 19 May 1967 in Carmichael, California. He worked for several years as an appliance repairman at Gaffer & Sattler's. He married Allyson Lee Gibson 29 August 1970 in, Nevada. Ken and Allyson had a daughter, Michelle A Davis on 4 October 1975 in Sacramento, California. He said that he was born in the wrong era. He loved to go hunting, fishing and camping. That is where you would find him the happiest. Ken is survived by is his wife Allyson Davis, of Fair Oaks, California, son Kenneth Davis and his wife Patricia (Black) Davis of Cheney, Washington, daughter Michelle (Davis) Bunch and her husband, Justin of Placerville, California, his mother, Barbara Jean (Taylor) Davis of Sacramento, California, brother Gary Davis and his wife, grandchildren Brian James Davis and his wife Melissa (Pawelski) of Mildenhall, Suffolk, England, Victoria Davis of Cheney, Washington and A. J. Bunch of Placerville, California and 3 great grandchildren, Caeleigh, Alayna and Kristopher all of Mildenhall, Suffolk, England. Losing a loved one is one of the most difficult things we can go through. No words can express what Ken's family and friends are feeling right now and I'm sure only time can help us accept the fact that he is gone. But Ken is not really gone because he has left a part of him in his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. We only need to look at them for the great posterity that he has left us. Eventually, you will think of something that reminds you of him and you will smile. Knowing and loving him was our privilege and honor. We will always miss him and love him. I leave you with this quote by Roger Bertschausen: Grief can awaken us to new values and new and deeper appreciations. Grief can cause us to reprioritize things in our lives, to recognize what's really important and put it first. Grief can heighten our gratitude as we cease taking the gifts life bestows on us for granted. Grief can give us the wisdom of being with death. Grief can make death the companion on our left who guides us and gives us advice.  None of this growth makes the loss good and worthwhile, but it is the good that comes out of the bad.
