In 1884 the Miller family came to Nebraska, arriving in February, and located in the Chelsea community, where the family home was established. Read More	RALSTON, LEAH MARIAH—Leah Mariah Miller, daughter of Jonas B. and Mary Elizabeth Miller, was born in Roann, In., January 30, 1883. She departed this life at Clearwater, Cal., February 13, 1949, at the age of 66 years and 14 days. In 1884 the Miller family came to Nebraska, arriving in February, and located in the Chelsea community, where the family home was established. It was in this community that the daughter Leah grew to womanhood and received her education. January 16, 1907, she was united in marriage to William Ralston and to this union were born three children, two sons and one daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Ralston maintained their home and were in business in Geneva until January, 1930, when the family removed to Clinton, Mo., where Mr. Ralston again entered his chosen profession of photography. Here the family remained until May, 1948, when they went to Clearwater, Cal., where they had since resided in the home of the son Clarence. Mrs. Ralston had been in failing health for many years, but her constant determination and cheerful nature enabled her to override most difficulties and in spite of her physical handicap she carried on with the genial aid of her faithful companion. Early in her life she accepted the Christian way, and the Chelsea church was her spiritual home until her marriage and subsequent removal to Geneva, where she united with the congregational church, where she served faithfully throughout her residence here. She changed her membership to the First Presbyterian church at Clinton, Mo., when the family home was established there. Those who survive are her husband, the daughter, Mrs. Ruth Cruzan of Sedalia, Mo., two sons, Clarence of Clearwater, Cal., Wayne of Clinton, Mo., and two step-children, Melvin Ralston of Geneva, and Mrs. Lela Smith of Omaha. There are five grandsons, two granddaughters, and one great-granddaughter. Besides theses, there are four sisters and four brothers, all living in or near Geneva, and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the Congregational church in Geneva at 2 p. m. Friday, February 18, her former pastor, Rev. David Tudor of Aurora, officiated. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery.
