Augspurger was the daughter of Willis Augspurger and Eliza King. She married Chester Eicher in 1933. Leanna was buried 28 Jun 2007. ###############* Obituary, 27 Jun 2007, "The Crescent-News" (Defiance, Defiance Co., OH) ARCHBOLD -- Leanna M. Eicher, 94, Archbold, died Tuesday, June 26,2007, in Fairlawn Haven, Archbold. She was born May 28, 1913, near Archbold, the daughter of Willis and Eliza (King) Augspurger. In 1933, she married Chester Eicher, who died in 1982. She was a homemaker and helped on the family's poultry farm for 20 years. Later, she was a meat inspector for the state of Ohio. She was a member of Poplar Ridge Church of the Brethren,' rural Defiance, where she served in many capacities. She also volunteered at Care and Share, Archbold. Surviving are a son, Fred (June), Archbold; two daughters, Nancy (Merlin) Fluckinger of Archbold, and Mary (Howard) Grime, Defiance; and nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-stepgrandchildren. Also preceding her in death were a sister, Zelma Eicher; and two brothers in infancy, Orville and Lyle Augspurger. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Fairlawn Chapel with Pastor Patricia Meeks and Chaplain Charles Gautsche officiating. Burial will be in Pettisville Cemetery. Visitation is from 2-8 p.m. today in the chapel. Handling arrangements is Short Funeral Home, Archbold. Preferred memorials are to Poplar Ridge Women's Work.
