Description	:	Lowell E. Rufenacht, age 81 years, of Archbold, passed away early Saturday morning, January 13, 2018, at CHP Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice. He was born August 11, 1936, at Archbold, the son of Jesse and Velma (Nafziger) Rufenacht. He married Velda Richer on October 4, 1958, and she preceded him in death on November 16, 2014. Rufenacht, age 81 years, of Archbold, passed away early Saturday morning, January 13, 2018, at CHP Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice. He was born August 11, 1936, at Archbold, the son of Jesse and Velma (Nafziger) Rufenacht. He married Velda Richer on October 4, 1958, and she preceded him in death on November 16, 2014. A lifelong resident of the Archbold area, he farmed and was a car salesman for the former Wagner Motor Sales and then Don’s Automotive of Wauseon. He enjoyed serving on the Fulton County Fair Board for several years, and supporting his children and grandchildren with their’ 4-H projects. He was a member of the Central Mennonite Church. He is survived by four children, Tom (Channon) Rufenacht of Archbold, Terri Sue (Terry) Rufenacht of Wauseon, Doug (Dawn) Rufenacht of Archbold, and Cathy (John) Leahy of Lima; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Don Rufenacht of Archbold; and one sister, Virginia (Merle) Aeschliman of Wauseon. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and a step-grandson, Joshua Stanford. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM at the Central Mennonite Church with Pastors David Elkins and Regina Wenger officiating. Interment will precede at 10 AM in the Pettisville Cemetery. Friends may call at the Central Mennonite Church from 2 – 8 PM on Tuesday. Short Funeral Home in Archbold has been entrusted with the arrangements.
