Description	:	Marjorie M. Short, age 98, of Wauseon, passed away Wednesday morning, July 22, 2009 at the Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home in Archbold. Prior to her retirement she had worked as an LPN at Henry County Hospital for 34 years. After her retirement she continued to volunteer at the Henry County Hospital. Marjorie was born in Fulton County on Nov. 28, 1910, the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Amanda (Baer) Beck. In 1929 she married Laurel Short, and he preceded her in death in 1991. She was a member of the First Church of God in Wauseon. Surviving is one son Laurel J. (Wyona) Short of Ft. Wayne, IN; two daughters LaVonne (Bob) Carter of Moneta, VA, Joyce Robarge of Greensboro, NC; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and two brothers Delmar Beck and Carl Beck, both of Archbold. She was preceded in death by her husband, Laurel; one daughter Judith Jane Short; one great-grandson Justin Holderer; three sisters Lois Beck, Arlene Gasche, and Erma Rufenacht; and one brother Val Beck. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at the First Church of God in Wauseon, with the Rev. Wes Glines, officiating. Interment will be in the Pettisville Cemetery. Friends may call at the First Church of God in Wauseon on Monday from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the First Church of God, the Gideons International or Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home. Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon has been entrusted with arrangements.
